Residential Life Programming

Programming Mission:

The Office Residence Life is committed to programming that is alined with our co-curricular goals.  To provide innovative programs, activities, and services that enhances the quality of student life in our Residence Halls.  We strive to create a student centered environment in which students grow and develop.  We embrace individuals to help them enhance their leadership abilities and life skills.

Programming Goals:

In an effort to accomplish our mission these are the goals of our programming:

  • To provide student involvement opportunities
  • To educate as well as entertain students
  • To develop engaged students in their communities
  • To promote student involvement in residence halls
  • Leadership Development

Programming Model:

In our effort to create a student centered environment we have developed these 4 components that our programs will be based from:

  • Health and Wellness
  • Community Service
  • Personal Development
  • Social Issues and Awareness

Expectations:

Under the supervision of the office of Residence Life our peer advisors staff has been trained and instructed on how to carry out residence hall programs.  Our residence hall programming consists of:

  • Monthly Floor programs
  • Monthly Bulletin boards (Passive programming)
  • All Hall programs
  • Area programs and activities (joint programs with other residence Halls)
