EXCAVATION UNITS 1-4

Unit 1

Unit 1 is distinguished by a series of postholes and stakeholes observed at different levels during the excavation

Unit 2

Unit 2 was the only unit with the entire floor showing evidence of burning. A number of postholes and stakeholes are beginning to be excavated in this unit

Unit 3

Unit 3 was the only unit with no major features present below the midden layers

Unit 4

Unit 4 produced a collapsed ceramic vessel immediately below the sod level. This vessel is currently being reconstructed at the Archeology Laboratory. The lower levels exposed cache pits
